Today in Sukhuma, a farewell ceremony was held for Igor Muratovich Akhba, the first Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Abkhazia to the Russian Federation.

The ceremony was attended by the leadership of the country, the diplomatic corps accredited to the Republic of Abkhazia, the leadership and staff of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia, representatives of state bodies and the public, as well as colleagues and relatives.

Speaking at the farewell ceremony, Oleg Bartsits, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia, emphasized the importance of Igor Akhba's many years of activity, his contribution to the protection of the country's national interests and the training of young diplomats, noting that his departure was a heavy loss for Abkhazia.
