Foreign Minister of the Republic of Abkhazia, Oleg Bartsits, congratulated Co-Foreign Ministers of the Republic of Nicaragua, Denis Ronaldo Moncada Colindres, and Valdrack Ludwing Jaentschke Whitaker, on the 47th anniversary of the victory of the Sandinista Revolution.

The congratulatory message notes, in part:

"July 19, 1979, is a crucial date in Nicaragua's modern history. The victory of the Sandinista Revolution in Nicaragua demonstrates the Nicaraguan people's commitment to the ideals of freedom, independence, and social justice, and to the development and strengthening of Nicaragua's political, economic, social, and cultural foundations.

I am pleased to note that the relations that have developed over the years of cooperation between our countries are marked by feelings of friendship, mutual trust, and respect.

These relations are of particular importance to us. The agenda of our interstate communication is expanding. The Abkhazian-Nicaraguan political dialogue is steadily developing.

I am convinced that our strong ties and shared positions on bilateral cooperation and key aspects of the world order provide us with a solid foundation for the further development of interstate relations."
