On May 17, Foreign Minister Daur Kove held a working meeting with Oleg Botsiev, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of South Ossetia in the Republic of Abkhazia and Garry Kupalba, the Head of the Official Representative Office of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic in the Republic of Abkhazia.

The adoption of a Decree on the formation of the Chief Foreign Office on May 17, 1993 by the Presidium of the Supreme Council of the Republic of Abkhazia was an important stage in the defense of national interests.

As it became known, on May 6, 2019, information was spread that on the days of the May holidays “the staff of the military police unit of the Southern Military District (SMD) will monitor the observance of law and order and discipline in places of mass celebrations, such as: a joint parade along the streets of the capital of the republic, laying wreaths on memorials, entertaining sports mornings with the participation of members of families of servicemen. ”

On May 6, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Abkhazia accepts documents from citizens of the Republic of Abkhazia, graduates of secondary schools, to participate in the competitive selection for enrollment to the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia.

The meetings of the interdepartmental Russian-Abkhaz working commission were held on 2 and 3 June in Sochi and Novorossiysk on the board of the cruise liner "Prince Vladimir», during which the issue of the resumption of sea passenger traffic between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Abkhazia was discussed.

The International Youth Rally “Leader” started in Transnistria on April 19,2019. Alexander Vataman, the Plenipotentiary Representative of the Republic of Abkhazia in Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic (PMR) and Vitaly Yankovsky, the Head of the Official Representative of the Republic of South Ossetia in PMR took part in the opening ceremony of the International Youth Meeting at the invitation of the organizers. The organizers of the Rally were the Republican Party “Renewal” and the youth wing of the party - “Youth Renewal”.
