Attention was drawn to the reaction in Tbilisi to the incident that took place on April 7 this year on the Inguri River, because of which four residents of the Gali and Tkuarchali districts of the Republic of Abkhazia were died.

52nd round of the International Geneva Discussions on Security and Stability in the Transcaucasus was held in Geneva on March 25-26, 2021, in which representatives of the Republic of Abkhazia, the Republic of South Ossetia, Georgia, the Russian Federation and the United States took part. The round was co-chaired by the UN, OSCE and the EU.

The official meeting of Bagrat Khutaba, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Abkhazia to the Syrian Arab Republic with Abdullah Ali Sabri, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Yemen took place in the city of Damascus at the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Yemen in the Syrian Arab Republic on March 15, 2021.

Lasha Avidzba, Arthur Gagulia and Madina Shamba, the Abkhaz Ministry of Foreign Affairs officials and Geneva Discussions participants also participated in the meeting.

On March 3, 2021, a working meeting was held between, the Foreign Ministers of the Republic of Abkhazia and the Russian Federation Daur Kove and Sergei Lavrov in Moscow. During the meeting a Plan of Consultations was signed between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation for 2021-2022.
